Daniel Regha Lambasts Asake’s “Only Me” Music Video, Deeming It Blasphemous

In a social media storm, Twitter influencer Daniel Regha has launched a scathing critique against Asake’s latest music video, “Only Me.” Regha vehemently claims that the video is not only blasphemous but also intentionally mocks Christianity, sparking a heated debate over creative expression and sensitivity.

Regarded as an influential voice on Twitter, Daniel Regha did not mince words as he dissected the music video, expressing strong disapproval of its content. According to Regha, the absence of any religious theme in the song makes the inclusion of scenes like the Holy Communion and the use of the inverted cross a deliberate insult to Christianity. He accuses TG Omori, the video’s director, of insensitivity and suggests that such intentional actions cannot be deemed as creative expression.

Regha’s critique delves into the perceived mockery of Christian symbols, notably the inverted cross, often associated with opposition to Christianity. He asserts that the video goes beyond creative boundaries, crossing into insensitivity by making a deliberate statement against the Christian faith.

The heated online debate has ignited discussions on artistic freedom, religious sensitivity, and the responsibility of artists to consider the potential impact of their work on diverse audiences. As the controversy surrounding Asake’s “Only Me” music video continues to unfold, it prompts reflection on the thin line between creative expression and the inadvertent provocation of religious sentiments.

In his words “Asake’s “Only Me” music video is blasphemous; The song was neither a religious song, nor does it have any line or theme that acknowledges the Roman Catholic Church, but TG Omori decided to !nsult Christianity by m¤cking the Christian religion. Asides the Holy communion scenes, Asake was seen doing the inverted cross which is a symbol often used to declare an oppositi¤n to Christianity & m¤cking the sacrifice of Christ. That’s n¤t creativity, it’s insensitiv!ty at it’s peak, & was very intentional”.
